The Community Management Specialist will develop ‘test & learn’ programs designed to grow our client's presence on Social Media sites such as Discussion Boards & Groups, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blogs/external discussion boards. The Specialist will develop innovative and engaging content, leverage social media influencers, and monitor, engage in, and manage conversations. Through relevant and effective social media techniques, the Specialist will both add value to the communities they engage in and drive measurable reputation growth and associated business results for eBay.

This online conversationalist must possess exceptional writing and interpersonal skills, acting as a face of the company in the online world. A data driven approach to monitoring and measuring success is critical as we seek to optimize programs quickly. Strong project management skills will be required for end-to-end execution of tests. Experience with social media usage and a personal interest in at least one of our key verticals – Fashion, Motors Parts & Accessories, and Electronics – are strong pluses.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Identify and engage with relevant communities, influencers, and active members to foster dialogue.
• Develop ‘test & learn’ programs, tactics, and content for social media properties (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) in support of program goals.
• Conduct proactive daily monitoring, posting, and content development associated with the targeted communities.
• Maintain regular customer contact and respond to inquiries quickly, honestly, and completely.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize results of social media efforts to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Experiment with innovative and alternative ways to leverage social media activities.
