Community Events and Marketing Coordinator

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, organized, data driven and energetic coordinator with a strong knowledge of community involvement and a local network. We are seeking consultants to support our large Fortune 500 client’s upcoming Event Planning and Coordination project needs. We are looking for consultants who have established Phoenix-based community ties to be able to help create a local community event plan in collaboration with agency marketing initiatives as well as be able to attend and execute events on short notice.  Work will be part-time or project based, as needed.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Set, communicate and maintain time lines and priorities for each event 
  • Work with suppliers, contractors, employees, vendors, managers, and many other parties to coordinate the event timelines 
  • Assist with negotiations for clients and vendors including, but not limited to; food and beverage, supplies, equipment and signage, décor, flowers, props, staging, transportation and more to meet quality standards and expectations 
  • Manage correspondence about events and offer suggestions to ensure requests can be met 
  • Interface with other departments in order to meet requests to ensure adequate staff are scheduled and the venue is set up appropriately and on time
  • Managing print collateral & give away items
  • Support/execution of client & community events, on an as-needed basis
  • Role has physical requirements (ability to move boxes of collateral & giveaways, set-up and tear-down events, etc.)
