Communications/Public Relations Consultant

**Must have Pharma Experience**

This position is responsible for providing PR support for branded and unbranded communications on behalf of Company products. Assists/leads in developing and implementing communication programs and activities. Writes and edits content for Q&A documents, press releases, internal announcements, news articles and other editorial content as needed. Collaborates with cross-functional department teams to help ensure alignment on strategies and provide input into the strategic direction for communications activities. Assists with management of PR agency and other strategic partners and/or consultants. Works on coverage reports for press releases and other issue-related matters. Assists with the development of collateral materials for the U.S. hhc programs as requested.

1. Provide tactical execution of branded PR programs to support products on the market and in development. Includes both agency and budget management. 40%
2. Drive tactical execution of unbranded communication programs to enhance the corporate reputation in the epilepsy therapeutic area through corporate PR initiatives 40%
3. Ensure that all external activities are communicated internally through employee announcements, intranet articles and other vehicles. 20%

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
• BA/BS in related field
• 5-7 years’ experience in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or other related field; corporate communications pharmaceutical industry experience and PR agency experience desired
• Experience in developing effective public relations programs that align with marketing goals and objectives
• Basic knowledge of media and publications; some experience interacting with media desired.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work within a team environment and deliver results.
• Strong organizational skills and business acumen including prioritization, budgeting, creative problem solving, attention to detail and adherence to policies.
• Ability to Research, write and edit content for Q&A documents, press releases, internal announcements, news articles and other editorial content as needed;
• General understanding of product/brand, regulatory, manufacturing and pipeline communications a plus.
