Communications/PR Coordinator

Our client in the real estate and home development industry is looking to add a Communications/PR Coordinator to their Public Relations and Content Marketing Department. We're looking for someone for a 3 month assignment that can extend an additional 3 months or longer. This is not a contract to hire position, though if head count on this team became available, they would consider bringing this member on board permanently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 
-Monitor all mentions of company in print, online and broadcast media 
-Alert team immediately of any mentions that may affect customers or business directly 
-Produce media coverage summary reports surrounding special campaigns or topics and on regular basis
-Compile all competitors earnings coverage and assist with production of quarterly analysis document 
-Fulfill division requests for advertorial copy to meet publication specs 
-Assist with writing of staff and divisional executive biographies, fact sheets, other divisional items as needed 
-Assist with other copy writing needs—Facebook/Twitter posts, divisional copy needs, award applications, etc.
-Answering, monitoring and responding appropriately to incoming calls on the PR phone line 
-Monitoring and managing emails to the PR email inbox 
-Assisting with photo or info requests received by Communications Directors 
-Research and gather info on potential media opportunities 
-Research and create new media outreach lists for special projects, divisional outreach, etc. to be used by Communications Directors and Manager 
-Work with team to gather and create content for new internal communications plan
-Provide media coverage to post to intranet for employees 

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Management required 
- 1-3 years in-house corporate or agency experience in Communications/PR and/or Marketing (national, regional, and/or local) 
- Prior experience in real estate a PLUS 
- Prior experience with content management systems preferred. 
- Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate succinctly and accurately; Ability to develop consistent “voice” for the company along with Communications Manager 
- Strong eye for detail and accuracy in all communications, particularly all that is outward-facing; this person, along with all members of the Communications team is a representative of the company and brand 
- Desire to acquire knowledge in all aspects of communications, public relations and marketing in order to achieve organizational objectives and ultimately strengthen brand 
- Base understanding of and interest in public relations dynamics, customer, audience and requirements as well as potential effects and implications of media coverage/inquiries 
- Strong project management skills 
- A demonstrated ability to work creatively and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and to respond immediately to issues
