Communications Specialist/Project Manager

Duties: Working with our life science client’s Commercial Sales Operations team, this will support a program rollout. Specific roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing communication plans, including messaging and tactical plans; understanding and adapting to interdependencies; ensuring alignment of plans with overall project messaging and timing.
Drafting communication materials (e.g., email, program summaries).
Developing presentations for leadership teams, describing communication and change strategies.
Obtaining input and feedback on plans and messaging from project team members and subject matter experts.
Project management tasks to include tracking and monitoring tasks of workstream, follow-up with owners and status reporting.

Skills:
Strong writing skills – ability to learn about a program, its impact on an audience and translate that into materials
Strategic planning skills – understands and has experience crafting communications plans to support a change
Project management skills – basic project
Comfortable with ambiguity. Able to successfully multi-task. Self-motivated.
Professional demeanor. Able to influence colleagues. Comfortable making connections with people, holding them accountable to deadlines.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related experience
2+ years communications experience crafting strategies and messages for internal audiences
Understanding of basic project management concepts, tools and templates.
Intermediate user of Excel – able to apply filters and quickly add/edit content
