Communications Specialist (Writer)

Responsible for Finance & Operations specific content development and delivery of project and process related communications that will help inform and engage employees.
Responsible for the planning and execution of effective communications through applying strong project management skills and stakeholder management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Partners with members of Business & Leadership Communications team and Finance & Operations department to identify initiatives requiring communication support.
• Develops content for companywide communications and channels, ensuring effective coordination and integration with Business & Leadership Communications, sales, marketing, corporate branding and communications initiatives.
• Develops and edits content for various communications, articles, announcements, intranet content, signage, etc. to support company initiatives.
• Provides input and assists with development and implementation of communication strategy and plan for initiatives identified.
• Effectively communicate regarding Finance & Operations department initiatives, projects/processes and organizational changes.
• Project implementation, set business partner expectations to complete communications within agreed upon timelines.
• Measures effectiveness of communications channels, and programs to meet the specific needs of audiences, evaluate success, and course-correct as necessary to improve the impact and sustainability of communication programs and publications.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English or a related communications discipline.
• A minimum 3-5 years corporate communications experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Proven strategic planning, development and implementation of project and process specific communication initiatives.
• Skilled at working collaboratively with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
