Internal and External Strategic Communications Specialist & Program Coordinator

This is a temp to perm opportunity.

Our client, a prominent healthcare company is looking for a full-time strategic communications specialist. This position is responsible for contributing to strategic internal marketing communications programs and content as well as supporting the development of key program updates. The candidate must possess strong marketing communications skills, including: message development, writing and copy editing, executing integrated marketing communications campaigns, an eye for design, and superior project management skills for both print and digital environments. The candidate must also have strong technical skills to manage the creation and posting of key information to our customer facing ordering portal.

This position will function in a highly-matrixed organization. As such it will require expertise in team building, collaboration, and the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner.

 Gather stakeholder requirements to assist in development of comms strategy and support for health systems/alternate site and retail independent customers and sales teams when appropriate. (35%)
 Gather stakeholder requirements to assist in development of internal comms strategy and support executive stakeholders (25%)
 Organize, coordinate, track and communicate project timetables, deadlines and approvals in conjunction with appropriate stakeholders and production/design team (15%)
 Develop and support scripts/talking points for senior leaders at key internal and external events - National Sales Conference, ideaShare, Senior Leadership Meeting and ASHP. (10%)
 Conduct market research on industry, competitors and trends to stay abreast of the current market (10%)
 Other duties as assigned (5%)

 Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field

Business Experience
 4+ years of marketing, communications or related experience

Specialized Knowledge/Skills
 Demonstrated outstanding communications skills (written, verbal and presentation skills)

 Excellent organizational, execution and project management capabilities with keen attention to detail
 Creative and innovative in developing marketing content and materials in a multi-channel environment
 Proficient at managing multiple projects with tight and often competing deadlines
 Vendor resource management experience
 Strong ability to act independently with sound business judgment and emotional maturity
 Excellent listening skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence without authority across all levels and functions
 Flexibility to take on different roles and duties as required
 Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
 Passion and enthusiasm for healthcare and our customers’ success
 Experience in healthcare industry a plus
