Communications Specialist

· Based in Guildford

· Salary / Rate: Up to £33,500 per annum

· Contract to start ASAP

· Contract will be for 12 months

Key responsibilities

• Manage direct communications to its existing customer base across a range of channels including email, in-game and dash notifications, push notifications, web and social with the aim of deepening and lengthening customer relationships

• Work closely with marketing teams for day to day tasks and execute daily, weekly and monthly campaigns (both ad hoc and behaviourally triggered) that target customers according to lifecycle stage to drive acquisition, engagement, monetisation and retention

• Develop and implement segmentation across audiences and develop promotional and messaging strategies to maximise performance within each segment

• Manage the direct communications calendar and develop and execute content supporting promotional campaigns and game events

• Coordinate creative and production requests, ensuring smooth operation of campaign delivery and quality assurance processes for email and direct communication campaigns

• Track performance of direct communication activity, looking at revenue, retention, open and click-through rates of campaigns to ensure ongoing improvements and build meaningful weekly report and post-campaign analysis

• With the support of our analysts, understand customer behaviour to isolate key customer moments when CRM communications should be executed as well as gain insights that can be used to optimise the life-cycle programmes and drive program KPI’s

• Work with other marketing team to build and execute cross-promotional campaigns that will help players discover new games and enrich the business network

• Liaise with the privacy and security teams to ensure that all policies are respected and met

Key competencies/experience

• Previous experience in CRM gained within an commercial digital environment that requires customer communications to support the customer throughout their lifecycle (ideally within entertainment)

• Experience of delivering integrated, multi-channel messaging programmes to drive product performance

• Knowledge of email best practices, expertise in working with email delivery tools

• Passion for customer communications and ability to use customer insight to deliver relevant and compelling marketing programmes

• Creative copywriting skills, that can bring a product to life through direct communications

• Bursting with ideas on how CRM can be used to drive performance within gaming

• Good attention to detail and a keen creative eye

• Skilled in evaluating and optimising campaigns in a quantitatively robust manner

• Ability to work well within diverse, cross-disciplinary teams

• Skilled in HTML and campaign asset creation from the ground up

• Strong communicator with the ability to influence upwards and outwards

• Interested in games across console and PC KPIs that role will be accountable for

• Delivery, open and click through rates

• Contribute to DAU, Retention rates (1d, 3d, 7d, 14d, 30d and beyond), Conversion rates

• Revenue
