A leading consumer internet/ecommerce company is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to support the Internal Communications team. This position requires initiative, creativity, attention to detail, willingness and ability to learn quickly, ability to manage internal relationships and superb communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Balance Internal Communications and administrative duties, including:
- Provide support to internal digital signage and weekly internal newsletter
- Calendar management, event coordination, and logistics, including events and some meetings
- Prepare and edit internal messages and other communications
- Monitor, respond to our internal mailbox
- Assist in the development of communication plans with an eye toward social media or innovative approaches
- Travel management, invoice payment and team expense reports
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- Additional communications and administrative/logistics work as required
Min Qualifications
- 1+ years of communications experience, account coordinator or junior account executive level preferred
- B.A. in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism
- Experience with digital signage/social media preferred but not required
- Ability to manage tasks independently and work in a team environment
- Outstanding communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
- Excellent calendar management and project management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings and scheduling across numerous internal and external contacts
- Thorough proof reading and editing skills
- Sense of humor and positive outlook
