Communications Specialist

Our client is seeking a Business Communication Professional to provide overall support to the their IT Communication Leader and project team in support of the program communication plan.

Key Responsibilities:
-Proactively research, draft, edit, proofread, and prepare material such as talking points, presentations, and email messaging for distribution to targeted audiences. Includes working with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gather information and attain final consensus approvals.

-Participate in the development and management of project communication campaign as well as distributing material; managing advertising of program with marketing communication collateral; trade show event booths; demonstrations; art installations; social networking; tagging; and experiential marketing techniques to energize, motivate and capture the audience.

-Independently research, interview, and write human interest stories to further drive campaign awareness; includes editing, proofreading and obtaining final approval from sources. Write narrative spotlight stories, blog posts, and use other social media tactics that encapsulate testimonial viewpoints according to editorial standards.

Desired Candidates will bring:
- 3+ years working experience (communication related)
- BA/BS or equivalent
- agency experience a plus
- Strong, proven writing expertise with a knack for transforming complex information into exciting copy
- SharePoint and web development expertise desired
- Desire to build a career in the communication field
- Ability to work independently
- Creative with an ability to see big picture while executing tactics of program
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and online applications (HTML)
- Strong team player - able to flex and work seamlessly with many work styles, ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Attention to detail essential with skill in proofreading and consistency
- Self motivated energetic, articulate and personable
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously having proven ability to meet deadlines
- Experience managing workflow
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently share team goals and objectives
- Integrity, self confidence, self awareness
