Communications Specialist

Our client is looking for a contract resource for a 3-month project to partner with their HR department. Key responsibilities to include:
- Review and understand HR communications, training and change management plan in place, to be able to contribute to the client’s needs.
- Meet with team leads to get familiar with their expectations
- Review and understand project overview materials, asking questions and seeking clarification as needed.

Once you are properly up to speed, you will:
- Draft communications for emails, ecards, e-newsletters, intranet articles, etc. related to the project
- Assist with the creation of PowerPoint deck content, talking points, etc.
- Attend change management standing team meetings
- Follow project schedule and report on progress (via excel and email) weekly
- Work directly with business and project leads on content creation and revisions

Preferred candidates will bring:
4-year degree in marketing, communications, journalism etc.
-3+ years experience in a strategic communications, marketing writing or copy writing role, preferably in internal or corporate communications experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn corporate communications tools and use Microsoft Office Suite
-Prior experience with Technology implementations, required and HR, strongly preferred
-PeopleSoft knowledge/experience would be a plus but not required
