Vitamin T has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist with a client in Atlanta. This is a onsite, 20-30 hour a week contract for 4-6 weeks initially with the opportunity to go permanent and full time. The Communications Specialist is responsible for several aspects of the Marketing and Communications department. Creates and delivers content that engages clients through all channels, and supports overall engagement and marketing communications strategies through simultaneous marketing campaigns, ongoing educational programming, periodic events, collaboration and support of membership committees and task forces, and cause-related programming. The Communications Specialist is responsible for assigned deliverables for all communications and distribution for content, including writing, editing and proofreading, writing scripts for video production, creating social media content and updating the MarCom annual calendar.
Researches, writes and delivers editorial content for CEO and Chair-specific member emails.
Responsible for researching news and information to include current events within applicable channels.
Writes content, searches for and/or proposes creative (such as photos, links and infographics) and maintains the schedule for social media channels
Writes e-newsletters and email blasts to support the overall communications strategy
Supports communications initiatives to increase member engagement and to assist with membership development.
