Contract with potential for extension or perm with Fortune 500 Tech company in San Francisco! Our client is undergoing a business transformation, with the move to more cloud based offerings and a greater emphasis on great customer experience. The Communications Specialist will work with the team and other groups within the company to ensure communications are effective, support the business goals and transformation, and keep employees informed, aligned and inspired. Responsibilities:  Support the development and creation of innovative programs to highlight people, programs and successes.  Collaborate with various teams to develop content to demonstrate organizational success, promote, and educate others about programs and initiatives (customer success stories, projects or programs etc.)  Ensure all content on work sites are updated appropriately, fresh and current with relevant messaging congruent with our goals and mission.  Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with off-shore resource.  Partner with functions to support communication and engagement efforts, and consult with teams to support communication planning and distribution of messages  Experiment with various communications mediums to help keep content fresh and interesting  Edit content provided by others to help keep messages clear and consumable to a global audience  Support an integrated communication environment among the various tools and platforms supported  Provide administration support and project management for some of the wide employee engagement programs  Drive communication planning efforts, and success measures Qualifications  At least 3 years of experience in writing or communications  Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, or equivalent practical experience  Communications experience in a corporate environment  Excellent writing and editing skills  PowerPoint and SharePoint experience required  Social media familiarity and experience a plus  Passionate about testing new ideas and innovating to drive results  Strategic thinker able to think big while managing the details  Excellent organizational skills; able to juggle multiple projects in deadline driven environment  Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, and in a global environment  Proactive; takes initiative and works well with minimal direction  Calm under pressure, positive attitude  Able to help train others in communications skills (e.g., writing, editing, etc.)  Ability to work effectively in a team environment and creatively solve problems  Superior communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
