Large media and entertainment company is seeking a Communications Specialist to join their Technology Solutions & Services Communications department. This is a contract role covering leave of absence.

This department is responsible for marketing communications to drive I.T. product awareness and adoption among employees. The department also provides internal, executive communications support. Contractors will assist with the development of all areas of communication within technology services communications dept. and to the company's segments regarding technology.

In this role, the contractor will be responsible for developing and delivering internal communications, including written communications, social media updates related to technology news, and instructional information.

**We are looking for a strong writer! Please submit work sample with resume. Must have experience writing in PR, communications, marketing campaigns etc.**

• Contractor shall create and review content as needed to support internal programs related to key enterprise organizational changes, IT performance, goals and objectives, key IT decisions, IT projects, news and critical events.
• Contractor shall write articles for the department's internal communications channels including, but not limited to, internal websites, internal email newsletters, end-user communications (email, site postings, video scripts and other tactics), and internal social media (Backlot and Yammer).
• Contractor shall copyedit content related to the department's services to ensure understanding and buy-in from target audience - create and update content to ensure clarity and accuracy with direction and input from department communications and the dept.'s service owner.
• Contractor shall participate in communication meetings with department communications team and project managers.
• Contractor shall interview any necessary sources for communications.
• Contractor shall prepare status updates for the department's communications.
• Manager will provide direction on assignments, may be as frequent as daily. Contractor will be accountable for staying on task and adhering to timelines and deadlines. Manager will provide direction and set priorities.

Basic qualifications:
• BS/BA in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Writing
• Strong knowledge/experience developing communications content for technical and business audiences
• Strong editing and writing skills
• Familiar with basic social media strategy
• Experience working with all levels of leadership
• Proficiency in the following PC applications: Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
• Proficiency in the following Mac applications: Keynote
• Ability to work proactively, independently and as a strategic partner in a team environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced employee communications environment

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience leveraging intranet technologies to deliver communication programs
• Ability to partner and communicate effectively with company clients

Required Education:
BS/BA in Comm, PR, Marketing or Writing
