Communications Specialist

This person will lead a global communications workstream for a high visibility operation within our large scale client. This initiative will redefine the products and services currently offered, introduce new delivery methods (e.g., technology, self-service), and redefine, streamline and standardize roles and responsibilities globally.

The Communications Specialist role will serve as a member of the global change management workstream to deliver the following:

• Translate program strategies and messaging into communications tailored to a global audience.
• Develop and manage global communication plan and timeline, including a weekly global/virtual meeting to drive delivery of communication project plan.
• Create, write, and produce communication material in mutliple formats (e.g., videos, articles, engagement activities), including partnering with workstream leads and other key stakeholders, graphic designers, and IT support personnel.
• Explore and leverage new communication mediums and techniques that encourage greater employee engagement, involvement and two-way dialogue to develop tailored communications tailored to multiple stakeholders globally (e.g., HR employees, salaried and hourly employees, supervisors, senior managers, executives).
• In addition, create content and use established communication meduims including: PowerPoint presentations, email notes, video scripts, frequently asked questions, articles, talking points, etc. with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Maintain MicroSoft SharePoint site by designing, organizing, editing , revising and upgrading content and interface.
• Design and deliver communications materials for senior level management to support leadership review forums and broad employee communications.
• Partner with external vendor and regional support personnel to manage translation of communication and training materials into multiple languages as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, organizational development or related field

Primary Skills Required:
• At least 5 years of managing/leading communication development experience to drive change management internal to an organization
• Prior experience working in a dual role as both a writer and producer of communications. Should present leadership and initiatve to understand the essence of the program.
• Able to work under deadline pressure and balance multiple priorities
• Demonstrated competence in MicroSoft office tools: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint
• Demonstrated competence in Camtasia, Articulate, Adobe, and Video Production / Editing is highly preferred

Experience Required
• Experience supporting internal communications within a large, preferably global, organization
• Project management experience
• Change management experience
• Experience introducing and leveraging social media solutions (e.g., blogs, Jive, mobile applications) with an internal workforce

Experience Preferred
• Experience with implementation or administration of HR process and technology solutions
