POSITION PURPOSE
The project specialist collaborates with the project team and project stakeholders to understand the information needs for project stakeholders. Communications Specialist develops presentations and communications as an input into stakeholder engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Stakeholder Engagement: 45%
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate communication needs and suggest appropriate methodologies.
• Work with project teams to understand technology implications and details that are relevant
• Develop, design and write communications (e.g. letters, memos, forms, reports, articles, flyers, brochures, scripts) for area assigned that are accurate, compliant with all laws and regulations, clear, and delivered on time.
• Experience with development and support of digital communications, animated powerpoints and videos.
• Coordinate one or more communication channels (for example, employee newsletter) from start to finish. Write content or edit, develop format, review layout, secure needed reviews, and publish.
• Coordinate distribution of communications with various support groups (e.g. Corporate Communications, Printing Services, mailroom, etc.).
• Collaborate with internal and external clients regarding communication methods, tools, content, format and distribution methods.
• Ensure that document format, design and layout meet clarity, consistency, client and readability goals and adhere to corporate communication standards.
• Review, edit or ghost write communications for various individuals within client group.

Online Content Maintenance: 40%
• Help design and set up public and internal team SharePoint site
• Help coordinate SharePoint content to ensure latest information is posted and accessible

Team Contributions: 15%
• Maintain shared calendars, project tracking documents, department share point site etc.
• Contribute to the development of creative branding and marketing strategies by keeping abreast of latest industry standards, best practices, tools and technologies.
• Other duties as assigned by communications lead and / or change management manager.
