Communications Relationship Manager/Account Manager

The Communications Relationship Manager (CRM) acts as a point-of-contact for designated client-partners across the organization to ensure that communications and programs created for the Individual Distribution channels align with ID’s vision and strategy.
The CRM also assists in the optimization of client-partner campaigns and initiatives by helping to develop and execute communication plans using messaging and vehicles specific to Individual Distribution.

Principal Responsibilities:
1. Acts as an ID point-of-contact for designated client-partners and provides communication expertise to help them plan and execute best-in-class communication programs for the Individual Distribution audience.
2. Serves as a “filter” to ensure that client-partner communications and marketing collateral are aligned with ID messages, and corporate brand and visual standards, and that they are packaged, prioritized and published to ensure that the right audiences receive them in the right manner at the right time.
3. Drives annual planning process with assigned partners to ensure that plans and budgets are aligned and expectations set for service/support between teams.
4. Works to ensure that appropriate partner programs and initiatives are identified, captured and embedded into overall ID communication strategy and are well represented in appropriate communication forums and vehicles.
5. Supports local firm marketing efforts to build client relationships by facilitating planning with Global Brand and Corporate Communication to bring forward programs that capitalize on the power of the MetLife brand to the local level.
6. Engage and oversee work done by Creative Services or design/video vendors as needed for development of collateral supporting major partner initiatives. Partners with Delivery Solutions team on delivery/fulfillment as needed.
7. Delivers a wide range of quality communications to ID audience, includes writing, editing, interviewing, proofreading, ensuring approvals, and utilizing an online content management application.
8. Tracks and calendars communication activities for client-partners and coordinates appropriate ID executive review and awareness.
9. Works closely with Messaging & Leadership Communication team to build and execute storyboard and digital content for internal field newsletter.

 Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related discipline
 7-10 Yrs. of relevant business experience
 Excellent writing and editing skills
 Creative, out-of-the-box thinking
 Knowledge of web-based and social media communications
 Understanding of the overall industry landscape and sales channel operation
 Strong project management skills
 Strong interpersonal skills
 Ability to apply sound business judgment, negotiation skills and coaching skills
