Communications Project Manager

This position is responsible for the coordination of design communication projects beginning with the inception through the creative process. Acts as liaison between the business stakeholders (project initiators) and Design team to ensure all project requirements are understood and that the creative development and production meets the requirements. Assembles the project team and is the primary point of communication of project scope and schedule, while operating within approved project budget. Partners with project stakeholders to resolve issues that threaten successful project completion utilizing problem solving, negotiation, influencing and escalation to keep projects on schedule. Lead process adherence and optimization to increase human resource efficiency.

Project coordination / management includes projects such as strategic message creation, executive communications (PPT, email), event related touch-points, creation of infographics/illustrations as well as development of posters, video production and other educational/training materials.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Coordination of internal and external communications
-Oversees scheduling and management of creative projects and ensures that project teams have accurate schedule and financial information.
-Communicates project scope, schedule and status to appropriate stakeholders.
-Negotiates and communicates approved scope and schedule changes to relevant stakeholders.
-Build and maintain business partnerships
-Partners with project stakeholders to plan all work required to meet the project objective(s).
-Escalates issues as required to Design project lead for resolution.
-Monitors creative projects throughout creative development and at all milestones of project schedule to maintain timely file completion. Works with design team on schedule changes and updates to resolve late issues and workflow interruptions.
-Drive timely completion of on strategy creative
-Partners with team creative leads to ensure creative is developed according to the prescribed strategy.
-Resolve issues through negotiation, risk mitigation and escalation.
-Ground all actions and decisions in the right thing to do for the business.
-Process adherence and education
-Identify and capture metrics that demonstrate successful project performance or areas requiring improvement.
-Scan the environment for process improvements opportunities.
-Uphold process(es) relevant to the creative being developed.
