Communications Manager

Aquent's client, a large national telecom company has a need for a Contractor to provide the services listed here. This contract is for a 3 month term and will extend to a maximum of 30 months contingent on the needs of the Client and and performance of the worker. This position is FULL time and requires the candidate to be ONSITE in their Basking Ridge, NJ offices. The Employee Communications Manager develops and executes internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees, both management and frontline teams, with Client's vision and business strategy, and drives employees' understanding of the company's business priorities and key initiatives, promoting a performance-based culture.

Provides strategic counsel to senior executives and develops messaging, videos and webcasts for company updates, key initiatives, industry issues and other topics.

Provides strategic planning and support for Client's employee programs supporting the company's Enterprise Solutions operations to influence culture change and promote an inclusive working partnership with project teams, Marketing and media relations; leads internal communications for key corporate initiatives such as transformation programs, national Marketing campaigns, and focuses on our innovation message, employee recognition, strong customer focus, helping meet and exceed company objectives, and enhancing our culture.

Creates effective and collaborative internal communications processes and shares best practices across the global employee communications team.

Understands social media and can leverage social media and tactics to reach key audiences.

Partners with IT to identify, leverage and integrate technology that will increase the effectiveness and timeliness of internal communications. Researches industry trends (e.g. through networking, benchmarking, industry publications and contacts) to determine new methods for message delivery.

Establishes and tracks metrics that help correlate internal communications programs to employee productivity and organization performance

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Strong judgment and leadership skills
- 7+ years of experience in professional writing and leading communications programs, including change management communications, marketing communications
- Strong project management skills
- Extensive experience planning and executing events for senior executives
- Must have exceptional writing, communications and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to manage deadlines and quickly changing priorities to deliver results as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team
- Ability to work independently, managing major projects with minimal direction
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
- Deep understanding and execution of being a team player, and the role technology plans in employee communications
- Track record of being a quick learner, with the ability to translate functional/operational goals into team goals
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or other related fields
- Excellent Powerpoint skills
