Communications Manager

Responsibilities:

· Work as part of the North American team, developing internal communications plans and content with clear, tailored narratives to engage Customer Fulfillment operations employee base 

· Ownership of the North American editorial calendar for Customer Fulfillment 

· Coordinate the delivery of content and channels and implementation of proactive campaigns across Customer Fulfillment 

· Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, functions, and geographies 

· Provide expert internal communications counsel, and manage and support crisis communications as needed 

· Represent Customer Fulfillment in the development of proactive employee campaigns

· Provide supplemental communications support to the North America team for other business types as needed.

· Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision-making

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field 

• 5 years of public relations or communications experience 

• Internal communications experience within a multi-national company 

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative

Preferred Skills:

• Internal communications experience with fulfillment centers, retail operations, logistics, and/or technology companies is highly preferred 

• Experience building strong relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop Operations, Human Resources, and Employee Relations content for a diverse, remote, and mobile workforce 

• Experience developing creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges 

• Experience creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement 

• Experience developing, building on, and managing an annual editorial calendar with robust, engaging content across a variety of mediums and channels 

• Excellent writing skills are a must, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative

• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to form a cohesive and effective outcome from potentially incongruous facts and individual perspectives 

• Possess a strategic approach to problems solving; able to anticipate potential reputational issues 

• Ability to exercise high judgment and persuasion, particularly in narrow time-frames 

• Willing to get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope of the job 

• Experience developing creative, effective approaches to reach a mobile (non-desk) and diverse global audience. 

• Project management experience including the ability to articulate how campaigns come to life across channels and audiences. 

• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
