Job summary
Our major retail client is looking for an internal communications manager to support the marketing team in the planning and delivery a very exciting internal communications campaign

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exciting motivational internal communications campaign that results in engagement and fundraising participation at all levels of this retail business and generates significant amounts of donations for their charitable partner.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and deliver all the internal communications activities including literature, promotions and fundraising events and activities from start to finish.

With clear and effective communication skills that span a range of formats, you’ll be skilled in translating complex messages into simple and understandable language.

With excellent interpersonal talents, you’ll be an engaging and innovative communicator. You will be skilled at influencing at all levels and managing relationships with multiple partners to deliver results.

Internal communications or Cause related marketing experience is not essential but preferred as is experience in project management, creating events and producing engaging written material. You will be tasked with:

• Developing and project managing an effective day-to-day communications strategy to engage employees an Internal campaign and empower and engage them to achieve the ambitious fundraising target.

• Ownership and development of champions and forums across all sites in the UK, liaison with internal and external stakeholders for the effective implementation of the campaign.

• Creation, organisation and delivery of large nationwide fundraising and engagement activities and high profile fundraising events including the head office launch of the campaign, supporting head office fundraising events and

• Working with the internal communications team to create and deliver regular and ad-hoc communication channels, including online, print and face to face.

• Supporting the CR team with work on additional CR Communication projects.

• Tracking spend against budget, maintaining an awareness of value for money spend

Key skills & experience required

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Applicable communications/PR experience at a management level within either agency or retail environment.
• Previous project management experience.
• Previous retail and specifically internal comms experience is desirable.
• A strong business acumen, understanding both customer and employee perspectives.
• A can-do attitude and an ability to both deliver strategy and implementation in a standalone role.
• Excellent writing skills
• Experience of creating, organising and delivery high profile events
• Can manage a variety of simultaneous projects and varying deadlines
• Awareness of different audience needs – functional and geographic
