Communications Manager (6-9 month FTC)

Our client, a leading UK & US retailer, is looking for a digitally savvy and proactive Communications Manager to join their London team for a 6-9 month contract.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical understanding, who can integrate information from a number of cross‐functional internal teams, by producing clear, concise and engaging communication materials.


Key Responsibilities:
• Work cross-functionally with team leads to stay informed and develop a concise understanding of what each team is doing
• Display a high level of expertise in identifying, planning and executing the right communication strategies for this project
• Develop a concise messaging and communications plan, and align with key internal stakeholders to ensure fit and consistency with company communications strategy
• Write, produce, and maintain engaging and easy to understand communication materials that keep the company informed on what each team has done and is doing. Examples include white papers, videos, presentations, email communications, case studies, launch manual etc.
• Responsible for the creation, execution and quality of all communications that go out to the company around this project.

Key Criteria:
• Significant relevant work experience
• Possess excellent writing skills (work samples required)
• Ability to take complex concepts or technical topics and distil them into language that is easy to understand
• High attention to detail
• A self‐starter with an ability to work with a range of stakeholders at differing levels of the business
• Effective cross‐functional driver
• Ideally have an understanding of mobile technologies
• Fluent in Photoshop
• Bachelor’s degree - Desired (preferred: Marketing, Journalism, English, Technical Writing)
