Communications Director - Marketing

Looking for a Dynamic Communications Director to head up the Marketing Department with 5 to 7 years of experience minimum.
Culture is very fast paced. Will have to be very good at writing content for all the marketing material.
Design the marketing program and be stellar at managing a team.
Must be able to multi task and think outside the box when it comes to reaching different target audiences.
Will also be the liaison with the PR firm to ensure all material goes out in a timely manner through all different channels.

As the Director of Communications you can expect to oversee and execute the strategy and day to day direction of the firm’s communications program. With the ultimate responsibility of generating an external brand and leads for the business development team, you can expect to work with a team of bright and enthusiastic marketing and leadership professionals along the way!


Responsibilities:

Ultimate responsibility is to generate leads for the Business Development team.
Compose press releases for distribution and enhancement
Oversee corporate communication activities, including external and internal communications and systems, as well as public relation efforts.
Locate and secure speaking engagements for the firm’s industry experts.
Discover opportunities to contribute expert articles in various professional, trade, and industry publications.
Assist with writing and editing technical articles for submission to technical and professional journals and magazines throughout the nation.
Conduct market research for various regions and industries and apply strategically to business growth opportunities.
Gather and analyze data with regard to website activity and provide recommendations to increase traffic.
Write and help develop marketing materials for national and regional marketing campaigns.
Edit and continuously fine tune all written communications for the firm.
Coordinate the production of said marketing materials with in-house team
Provide weekly progress report to management.
Additional responsibilities, as required.

Qualifications:

College degree is required.
Marketing/Communications professional with 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy and start-to-finish production of marketing and communications materials, including web content.
Must possess exceptional copywriting and oral communication skills.
Previous experience in writing and editing for a professional services or technical firm
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to “roll up his / her sleeves”
Proficient with MS Office, Powerpoint and Adobe software applications
Leadership ability to grow and develop a high performance marketing team with a proven record of success.
