Communications Designer

Responsibilities:  Design and prepare engaging presentations derived from various communication vehicles such as talking points, public service announcements, web content, marketing materials, reports, and other communication materials as required.  Prepare, edit, and revise a variety of documents including presentations, newsletters, reports and other written and electronic material; quickly respond to multiple rounds of edits.  Liaise with internal teams throughout the creative process, gather and maintain various forms of information from multiple sources, review data for accuracy and propose creative solutions.  Maintain brand standards and consistency of message and design across presentation materials.  Format numerical data, charts, text, photographs, and other visual graphic elements.  Help develop and implement communication plans that align to communication strategy and roadmap (i.e. an events calendar, monthly briefings, town halls, newsletters, etc.)  Work on multiple assignments with competing deadlines; collaborate with leadership team and subject matter experts under tight deadlines.  Photograph various events, functions, and divisions. Required:  3+ years of communications and presentation experience.  Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or a related field.  Excellent reporting, writing and editing skills; aattention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye in terms of aesthetics.  Strong presentation design experience; advanced-level of PowerPoint and Word; proficient in other Microsoft office products.  Must be able to repurpose content for multiple platforms.  Ability to respond effectively to requests on short notice and to manage multiple priorities.  Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.  Capable of working effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.  Experience working in the mortgage industry preferred.  Design Thinking experience preferred.
