Commercial Marketing Liaison to the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory Division

This role is being created to cover for an individual going on maternity leave. Upon their return in March, this person could be eligible to convert into a permanent role depending on their performance.

This individual will own and drive the progress in the collaboration between the Global Commercial Organization and the Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review team in a centralized fashion. The job will entail improving the processes and the practices of the collaboration, monitoring and enhancing the adherence to these processes, practices and the Ad/Promo guidelines, providing resources, training or consulting to Commercial colleagues with questions on how to successfully and compliantly develop promotional materials, and developing reports to track metrics for improvement and adherence.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Execute established criteria and process for expedited reviews and concept reviews
- Track progress on established metrics by developing and sharing reports
- Disseminate improvement updates to stakeholders with defined business implications
- Lead the launch and promote the online MLR training with the appropriate target groups
- Provide direction or execute negotiation between Commercial and MLR for problem or conflict resolution
- Promote and refresh users on MLR process, practices and Ad/Promo Guidelines Lead
- Continuously look for, identify and address areas for improvement
- Lead claim substantiation process enhancements and onboarding
- Identify, recruit and manage external consultant agencies, where needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional team on all tasks described above

Preferred Educational Background:
• Minimum of a bachelor degree in business/communications
• MBA or other related degree in business, marketing, communications highly desirable.

Preferred Experiential Background:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or product marketing in life sciences or pharma
• Proven track record of effective collaboration with Medical, Legal and Regulatory review process
• Experience working in the clinical market is preferred
• Understanding of marketing best practice in a regulated environment is preferred
• Effective in garnering support and leading multi-faceted initiatives in a highly fragmented, diverse and matrixed organization dynamics
