Commercial Interior Designer

You are a designer with an exceptional background in workplace design. You know how to create the interior space of a corporate office, including the selection of materials, furniture and fixtures. Your technical skills are killer and includes Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Revit, AutoCAD, 3DS Max, and Google SketchUp. What You’ll Need

Graduate or undergraduate degree in: Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design from an accredited college or university
5+ years related work experience in hospitality and workplace design
Proficiency in the following programs: Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Revit, AutoCAD, 3DS Max, and Google SketchUp)
Knowledge of drawing design techniques, tools and principles
Knowledge of construction methodology, materials and manufacturers
Experience selecting furniture, fixtures and finishes
Strong sense of urgency an ability to learn and act in a fast-paced environment
Proficient task management and project management skills
Proactive problem solver
High level of motivation and passion for design
Open to continually changing environment

What You’ll Do

Ensure client satisfaction
Serve as the main point of contact for client
Attend and lead all pertinent client meetings
Oversee and lead concept development and client expectations
Maintain client communication throughout design and construction process
Develop a lasting relationship built on trust with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, etc.
Capitalize on marketing opportunities
Responsible for marketing involved with initial sales pitch
Oversee large scale installs and schedule photo shoots
Coordinate prospective client visits and tours
Design leadership
Select and specify furniture and finish specifications, and overall palette design
Coordinate design direction for all team members per project
Relay design to junior designer/intern for concept execution/documentation
Review junior designer and intern work before submission to client
Provide performance feedback to junior designer/intern
Oversee project management
Develop design contract, set fees and estimate hours for project duration
Lay out project deliverables and deadlines for junior designer/interns
Report and update principals on project status
Focus on revenue generation and new project leads
Spearhead financial reporting and tracking
