Clinical Writer

The Clinical Writer carries out medical writing activities in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, within budget and to the highest possible written, scientific, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Preparation of clinical case studies and articles for review and publication.

-Provides high-quality medical and scientific writing from planning and coordination of literature search through delivery of final drafts.

-Provides technical consultation and provides substantive advice on strategy, regulations and industry best practices.

-Demonstrates subject matter and therapeutic area expertise and possesses the ability to write across various clinical specialties.

-Effectively manages medical writing projects to deliver quality products in agreed timelines.

-Participation on multidisciplinary teams.

-Advising and mentoring colleagues and clients on medical writing-related issues.

-Understands the process for peer reviewed journal submission.

Desired Skills And Abilities:
-Excellent written English, able to accurately interpret data and express findings in a clear and concise written manner.

-Excellent project/time management and organizational skills and ability to work on own initiative.

-Flexibility in meeting challenging deadlines and changing requirements.

-Knowledge and experience in internet research.

-Ability to communicate with professionals from a variety of backgrounds.

-Attention to detail—style, consistency, grammar, syntax, scientific accuracy.

-Good interpersonal skills with confidence in managing physicians/clients/authors.

-Experience writing about complex topics for professional audiences.

-Editing and proofreading (specializing in medical content).

-Project and publications management.
