Client Service Director (Automotive)

Vitamin T client is looking for a Client Service Director to lead our campaigns and projects specific to the automotive industry. Applicants must have experience with automotive advertising/marketing along with experience working directly with dealers.

The Client Service Director is responsible for leading the Client Service team in proactively uncovering critical client needs and developing viable marketing solutions. This individual must draw upon a high level of industry knowledge to identify key areas for growing a client’s business, and works closely with the Marketing team to oversee the execution of all campaign elements. The Client Service Director also drives the strategic direction of accounts and works with the Strategy & Brand Planning team to grow the business and operations teams.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a successful record of developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns when experiential, social media and digital are core components.

Client Relationship and Account Management

Builds and maintains superior customer relationships with assigned clients to facilitate the development of new business proposals.
Develops new business proposals and presentations in partnership with senior leadership that leads to client retention.
Oversees the Client Service team to ensure quality execution that drives toward client’s business objectives and key metrics.
Ensures that the Client Service and operation teams are constantly mindful of clients’ business objectives and success metrics.

Sets the strategic tone, direction and supervision of existing accounts. This includes overseeing client needs, staffing, strategy, quality of work, and budgeting; clearly identifying and communicating client’s business strategy.
Maintains on-going relationship with clients after the initial “sell-in” phase; ensures streamlined communication between internal departments and client.

Collaborates with internal teams (Strategy, Creative, Operations) to ensure that campaign goals, budgeting and scheduling parameters are adhered to as outlined in the RFP.

Represents client in all campaign planning sessions (internal and external).

Financial Management

Builds financially sound campaign budgets in partnership with operations team to ensure financially profitability while maintaining pricing competitiveness.
Oversees the creation and management of the campaign budget, profitability margin, field staff labor expenses and time spent to fulfill the scope of work.
Effectively communicates with internal and external team members on the financial status and management of the campaign.
Provides insight on cost savings while still meeting client needs and the scope of the work.

Personnel Management

Provides coaching, mentoring and development for junior staff.
Oversees performance reviews, goal setting, professional education, and team motivation.
Delegates client assignments effectively

Works with internal resources to create training materials and to execute Field training programs
Provides consistent coordination, leadership, and communication to internal team to ensure maximum performance

Upholds, adheres to and shapes client’s guidelines, policies, and procedures
Contributes to a positive work environment by leading by example
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the industry of experiential marketing, digital & social media and advertising and PR

Required Experience/Skills:

10+ years of relevant marketing experience (Minimum 5 years experience with automotive clients)
Bachelor's Degree: Business/Marketing or related
Experience managing profitable budgets, meeting deadlines and managing teams of 3+ members
Strong ability to develop and activate campaign from start to finish (identifying opportunity with client, develop solution and campaign, active and track success metrics.
Excellent writing, copy/editing skills and general communication skills. Includes ability to write strategically sound client proposals and present proposals in a creative manner
In-depth knowledge of the event/promotions industry
High level of detail-orientation, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
