Client Service Director

END: 6 month contract to hire

As a key daily point-of-contact with clients and prospects, you create the first impression of this creative, engaged and professional organization. This position is responsible for supporting the entire firm by handling the day-to-day execution of duties to satisfy our clients’ projects and goals. Reports to the President.

Desired Skills & Experience

Account & Project Management Duties – approx. 60% of role
-Maintain direct client contact. Ensure client relationships are stable and positive.
-Analyze client input, together with background knowledge, research, field feedback, etc., to produce full communications plans when appropriate
-Support Creative staff in reaching client objectives
-Provide Creative and Production personnel with briefs and other well-documented input, support data and production materials as required
-Present and sell concepts and solutions to client
-Provide clients with timely estimates, schedules and budget updates
-Assist in preparation of client invoices
-Engage with research personnel or other freelance resources
-Check and approve copy, design and production art, and coordinates with client for feedback and/or approval
-Gather and assemble background information and analysis as needed in development of creative briefs
-Keep up to date on all projects, allowing you to service client needs as they arise
-Immediately inform President of any potential problems with client/firm relations, budget overruns, etc.

Duties Relating to Staffing & Support of Client Services Team – approx. 20% of role
-Mentor, and nuture your team
-Identify opportunities for process improvements
-Identify opportunities for individual growth of your team members in ways that benefit the firm’s clients and the firm’s growth in expertise
-Management of contract and freelance support members
-Advocating for your team members career advancement
-Recruiting, hiring and dismissal of resources on your team
-Partner with Creative Services Manager on team functions and client appreciation initiatives

Duties Relating to New Business – approx. 20% of role
-Seek out new business opportunities with new and existing clients and play a supportive role in their development
-Represent the firm at industry functions
-Be fully familiar with firm credentials and expertise
-Support new business development by participating in team pitches -Write or edit new business proposals
-Research industry and markets for new business
-Implement new client relationships (e.g. set-up account in FunctionPoint, provide estimates, new client agreement form, discuss firm/client expectations)
