Job Summary:

The Specialist in the Client Marketing Team will help manage the creation and delivery of an Opportunity Centric Marketing approach across our cleint’s UK business. As a secondary activity, the Specialist will also help drive campaigns to support key themes.

The role for the Client Marketing Team is to support revenue growth across the UK business. The team is focused on delivering client centred marketing activities, and sales and bid support to the business to service the UK key clients. This team sits within the UK Marketing & Communications team.

The Specialist will be expected to be a team player who can build and manage a range of complex internal stakeholders and look to extend and develop their skills in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist team in supporting bid teams on client and project bids
• Advising and delivering projects as appropriate – may involve messaging, branding, design, web based materials etc.
• Assist team in “marketing” the OCM service internally and working with Sales Support Team - create and deliver targeted communications to showcase best practice and support for the programme
• Work professionally to help drive engagement from across the business and secure buy-in
• Work with internal clients to ensure a disciplined follow-up programme is executed to ensure opportunities are maximised, measured and recorded.
• Implement and use CRM system (Sales Force) to capture and manage data
• Assist client teams in developing other client focused activities where required
• Ensure that all programmes are evaluated based on agreed metrics and ensure regular reporting of programme and progress against metrics to Senior Management.
• Ensure Programme Owner/Management are kept appraised of progress against budgets and time-lines, and escalate to them any potential budget, time over-runs (or under-runs) and significant issues.
• Work with external suppliers (including off-shore resources) to complete programmes as required.
• Continue to develop marketing communications skills, attending training as directed by career counsellor.
• Work with a complex network of internal stakeholders effectively


Reports to: UK/I Manager, Client Marketing.

External Relationships: Vendors, suppliers, agencies and other third parties


Education: Bachelor’s degree, university degree or equivalent

Work Experience: Solid experience in management and creation of marketing, sponsorship, events and hospitality programmes. Understanding of business issues

Work Requirements: Minimal travel depending on geographical span

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Deep understanding of business content and how to apply to business issues and problems – should have good writing and creative skills.
• Experience of most elements of relationship marketing and communications, including sponsorships, hospitality and business events and how to leverage them to build and extend long-term client relationships.
• Experience of messaging and design / creation.
• Some experience of supervising support staff, contractors and agencies.
• Understanding and ability to apply marketing concepts, branding and message development skills.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of CRM systems.
• Relationship building skills and experience of managing complex multiple stakeholders.
• Developing negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to deliver well-executed deliverables in support of the business strategy.
• Strong project management skills.
• Thrive on working in intense, deliverable-driven and deadline-driven environment.
