Aquent's client is looking for a Channel Publishing Specialist in the Field Communications department. The description is below.

Field Communications is a division of the Corporate Communications Department, consisting of ten professionals that lead and/or support the following:

 Communication strategy and best practices between corporate operations and the sales force

 Communication channels and editorial calendar for those channels to the sales force

 Communication counsel and consulting to corporate business areas that are communicating to the sales force

Client's sales force is based in regional offices throughout the United States (only), comprised of office leaders/managers, financial advisors, and staff of the advisors and offices. This sales force is the only way in which clientl’s products and services are distributed.


The candidate will be responsible for supporting the editorial development and channel publishing of the company’s primary communication channels to the company’s sales force of 18,000 + financial advisors, staff and office leaders.

These channels consist of:

 Intranet Site – with a daily news feed, averaging 4 new articles and announcements very day

 E-Marketing – weekly email blasts to the sales force with timely news and info

 Monthly Magazine – with a balance of longer feature pieces and short profiles/highlights

To support these channels, the candidate will find themselves doing the following:

 Support various channel leads/editors to manage editorial calendar and publish content accordingly, such as:

o Daily content management and publishing of online news (16 – 20 articles per week)

o Generate, edit and send weekly email news

o Provide editorial, copy writing and proofing support to magazine development

 Developing story ideas and writing/editing editorial content

 Develop, track, analyze and report on metrics to demonstrate channel and program effectiveness.

BASE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, journalism, public relations or related field. Minimum of three years’ experience in professional corporate communications, public relations, journalism or related communication field with a proven portfolio of business and news writing, editing and media management experience. 

Desirable qualifications: 

 Strong professional communication skills and one-on-one interpersonal relationship building.

 Knowledge of web-based content management and publication. 

 Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environment. 

 Comfort working in a team environment – highly collaborative and interdependent with others

 Ability to grasp and complex information quickly, distill it to its key points and communicate it in a reader-friendly manner. 

 Possess superior organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills.

 Experience and ability to work closely with business partners at all levels of the company, including executive-level leaders. 

 Ability to integrate strategic communication plans into content planning.

 Knowledge of the financial services industry and experience with internal social media strategy development and execution are desirable, but not required.

Skill set:
Public Relations, journalism, channel marketing, B2B, Writing, editing background. Experience in journalistic publishing/reporting. Background with financial company a plus and project management skills.
