Channel Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market

Description: As business continues to expand, our client's need for channel marketing experts is growing exponentially. This role will be based in San Mateo and will be responsible for supporting the mid-market retail channel including the channel manager, mid-market sales team, and mid-market retail accounts across North America.

Major Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the events & sports marketing teams to execute retail activations with key partners
• Manage execution of retail marketing activations including window wraps, in-store signage, digital/online campaigns, social media campaigns, etc.
• Work with internal marketing partners on development and delivery of marketing assets
• Work with Mid-Market Channel and Sales team on creating innovative new tactics for retail partners
• Work with sales managers and external partners to coordinate retail marketing activations
• Assist in development and execution of training programs
• Become a product expert for Sales, Training and Retailer needs
• Become an expert on organization, distribution and usage of marketing assets

Candidate Requirements:
• Understand retail, have Channel Marketing experience, and a strong eye for detail and project management
• Have experience working with mid-market retailers such Dicks Sporting Goods, The Sports Authority, Academy, InMotion, etc.
• Travel (up to 10%) - this includes domestic and potential travel to Canada (MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT)
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Channel Marketing, Brand Marketing, Marketing ops OR other fast moving industry where brand trumps distribution
• BS degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
• Excellent communication skills including oral and written
• Understanding of consumer funnel or path to purchase
• Experience with executing multiple programs, events and other complex programs with multiple partners
• Comfortable working with Sales, Retail, Legal, Brand, Sports Marketing, Operations, Events and Finance throughout org levels insuring that deliverables are met in accordance with timelines
• Results and deadline driven
• Efficient in a high volume, fast paced and multi-tasked work environment with all levels of management, both internal and external
