Channel Marketing Specialist - 4 months contract

My client is a technology company that produces software for security, storage, backup and availability - and offers professional services to support its software.
They are currently looking to fill in a short term contract starting ASAP, for 4 months.

This is an ideal role for a marketing professional with a proven track record of ROI gained working within a high-tech software or services company as well as experience from working within channel marketing. Experience encompassing field marketing disciplines of product and channel marketing is ideal. The ability to influence multiple regional stakeholders and to negotiate effectively within a matrix organisation in order to make a difference is critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities - Channel-led marketing
• Drive growth through partners as measured by contribution to the business; generate new opportunities within existing partners and if applicable acquire new partners to increase market penetration
• Create distribution channel marketing plan and solicit input from key stakeholders
• Develop and execute joint Marketing plans with these partners. Execute against playbook and regional marketing plans. Plans should include, but are not limited to:
• Cross-sell, up-sell and win back marketing initiatives
• Competitive take-out campaigns to take market share
• Define and implement “to and through distribution to channel” marketing activities – driving adoption of marketing programs; campaigns, partner portal and partner communication.
• Measure the success of marketing programs
• Responsible for budget management, tracking marketing ROI and marketing contribution to bookings

Qualifications/Experience/Essential Requirements:
• 3+ years minimum channel and end user marketing experience, preferably in country
• Demonstrable success in localising and executing innovative, channel marketing programs to drive marketing strategy as well as the Regional growth plan
• Good business acumen and commercially savvy.
• Ability to drive Marketing Metrics (ROI, % contribution to the business, etc.)
• Good partner relationship management skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and strong team player
• Background in Information Management and Security software is an advantage
• Experience in Digital and social media/programs
