Channel Marketing Manager (hardware/software technology)

This position is for a Channel Marketing Manager, to work in the marketing strategy, insights and operations team.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work with Product Marketing to refine messaging.
• Work with Creative Services to create and execute all non-technical solutions/products sales deliverables to enable all appropriate sales channels and training teams.
• Initiate and complete content localization and translation requests for solutions/product content. Work with the SMEs to localize the materials. Provides final localized materials by appropriate country to the Content Localization and Translation team. Provides final localized and translated content back to the SMEs for final approval. Seeks and acquires appropriate legal approvals.
• Implement core messaging and value props across all assets (including events), with Product Marketing.
• Submit requests to Creative team and works through to design, develop and execute finished client-facing solutions/product materials to support the channels, utilizing all necessary marketing tools, i.e. Workamajig, etc. In addition to Creative Services, work with Legal for tone of voice and branding.
• Provide access to enablement assets to all teams (Events, Social, PR, Web, Presales, Sales, Key Accounts, Partners, L&D etc.)
• Drive channels feedback to ensure offering/program success.
• Determine the best technology/methodology to distribute enablement materials/tools with all channels.
• Determine the sales communications strategy (e.g. monthly/quarterly calls with 1st line managers/Inside Sales) – role of the Director to solicit feedback and make a decision.
• Suggest and provides access to digital, printable copies of relevant documents for the Events team.
• Coordinate with Communications, such as newsletters directed to the Sales teams.
• Provide non-technical solutions/products sales deliverables for Sales Training (value prop, benefits).

The position is both strategic and highly tactical in nature and requires interpretation of strategy, offerings, and programs into effective marketing execution content and materials for the channel/sales execution teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. 5-7 years progressive marketing and communications experience with 1-2 years specific to channel enablement or product marketing and channel enablement experience.
• Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment, building alliances across functions and geographies
• Understanding of key marketing programs required and related funding necessary
• Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams (market intelligence, product marketing, IMC and product management, creative services)
• Strong leadership, team-based skills
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong prioritization skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in order to meet goals within plan
• Market-focused and results-oriented
• Proven track record in successful product marketing communications centered around client needs and solutions (samples requested)
• Ability to definitively differentiate our solutions from competitors based on “market-in” information and competitive perceptions
• Ability to drive alignment in the way we position our solutions in the market through sales, partner and marketing channels

Ideal candidate would come from a product marketing background in hardware/software. Candidate MUST have strong project management skills, and strong writing abilities (working with templates, unique content).
