Channel Marketing Manager, Showrooms

Our Fortune 500 client in Indianapolis is seeking a Channel Marketing Manager to develop and execute focused marketing plans to grow sales within showroom channels. Paid Relocation Assistance will be offered to the right candidate. This person will work directly with the sales team to develop marketing plans aligned with sales goals. He or she will influence and inform go-to-marketing strategies with respect to focused segment. The Channel Marketing Manager will be in regular contact with customers to remain abreast of current industry trends and opportunities for growth. An essential part of this role is planning and executing marketing tactics including collateral, point of purchase ( POP ), product displays, etc. The Channel Marketing Manager is involved in cross-functional coordination with Sales, Marketing (product and brand), and CRC to optimize program and promotional spend and forecast resulting sales demand. This individual works with the appropriate personnel within the Sales department to ensure execution of segment plans. Principal Accountabilities:  Manages and forecasts budget for specific customer(s)/segment  Develops and executes channel planning and strategy  Develops and executes campaign strategies  Develops and maintains multi-level relationships within key customer's organizations  Analyzes product mix within all channels  Executes marketing plans for new product launches  Executes customer specific advertising and marketing initiatives  Develops, executes and measures customer-specific promotions  Executes channel specific plans originating in the Sales department  Directs channel specific display, merchandising and POS strategy  Performs channel analysis and intelligence gathering  Develops, analyzes, and manages customer programs  Creates and manages event-marketing strategies  Formalizes trade and/or retail print media plan  Reads, summarizes and distributes notated articles related to area of responsibility  Manages activities of external agency partners to achieve above accountabilities  Frequent travel required Education and Experience/Skills: - BS in Business or Marketing related field and at least 5 years of related marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Ability to analyze and interpret data from various sources and apply to business needs - Understanding of consumer behavior - purchase process, brand positioning and shopping behavior - Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers - Evaluate decisions based on the impact to the customer and display a willingness and ability to provide world-class customer service
