Channel Marketing Manager

Seeking an experienced Channel Manager for a local Madison CPG client. This is a full time role with a competitive annual salary and bonus potential.

The Channel Manager must have a thorough understanding of the channels they lead in order to be the conduit between sales, product management and the rest of the organization. They will develop marketing promotions and programs for key customers and channels. Act as a project manager to ensure that key marketing initiatives are completed on time and within budget in order to meet organizational sales and profit objectives. This person will lead new product launch activities to commercialize products developed by product management and develop strategies and tools for the sales team to maximize market potential.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for assigned channels of trade and customers. The strategic plans include promotions, merchandising, new product placement, digital and social media.
Act as a project manager coordinating the efforts between sales, creative, packaging engineering, marketing communications, operations, purchasing and finance to develop programs to help drive profitable incremental sales.
Assist sales with customer line reviews by working with product management, creative, marketing communications and other cross functional teams to develop presentations that will increase brand shelf space and market share, and solidify our position as a key supplier to our customers.
Lead the new product launch activities for commercializing new products; direct weekly category meetings; manage category tracker to ensure sales and trade launch aligns with corporate schedule.
