Channel Marketing Manager

We are looking for someone who is adept with Strategy & Planning for the IT Showcase Team. The team sits within Marketing arm of IT and User Services realm. Team has two main responsibilities:
1. Leads internal communications and readiness for own employees (helps employees being ready and productive).
2. Outbound Marketing. Markets stories to help propel own business.

The manager of this position leads digital syndication program for team (channel marketing). The audience is business decision makers, IT decision makers and covers IT product groups. Working with Marketing Manager for audience, event and product marketing. Reaching out across org to market products and team wants to broaden Marketing program. Primary audience is field sellers and Media Managers. Develop an internal social media program and advocacy program to empower IT Showcase and SME’s to share content across social media channels. Assisting with a few adhoc marketing communications, such as internal newsletter (currently outsourced to vendor) which needs wordsmithing copy of newsletter. Additionally, will Select various images and wordsmithing content and images on website within carousel and leading project every month.

Typical Day:
• Connecting with various channel owners or channel properties. The candidate will be searching across the company and looking across different channels, researching on where best place is for content, knows about product line and value props for each audience, assesses different channels and curates content and emailing/calling folks. Candidate will need to research internal newsletters, yammer groups to see where there are potential places to post content to get in hands of field sellers. Identifying yammer groups and newsletters and figuring out who the owners are of those. Additionally, this person will look across company events (external or 3rd party events) that may resonate with audience and brainstorms on how they can bubble up content.
• Currently there are a ton of events that Manager doesn’t touch right now and needs help with that. This person will look at different events across the company, to see where they potentially can get a slide in a presentation, working closely with events team to see how can get content with internal events. After identified good base of channels, tracking success of channel success and health.
• The team has implemented process to tag promotional events and just now getting data back so this person can focus on Tier 1 channel.
• Measuring performance of how consumption is going with best channel. Reporting that metric out and providing meaningful measurement of analytics. Tracking tags, tagging content and ensuring that it all data gets inserted into PowerBI data.
• Getting reports from team (in form of Excel spreadsheet) and work with vendor to get data input into PowerBI dashboard and set up via SharePoint site.

Required Experience
• 3-5 years of IT Marketing background (Social Media experience would be ideal)
• Experience to reach out and cold email/call internal Channel Owners and experience with resourcefulness
• Experience writing to technical audience (wordsmithing copies for newsletters, social media posts like LinkedIn). Experience taking piece of content, synthesize and framing for channel.
