Project: The Window 10/Office 2016 project’s goal is to upgrade the current desktop operating system of all corporate PCs. This includes approximately 88,000 PCs at and above property across the Enterprise. PCs will require inspection to determine if the hardware must be replaced or if re-imaging the computer with the new operating system is sufficient. The project will encompass 3 main activities: application certification, PC certification, and PC replacement or re-imaging.
Contractor's Role: Entry to mid-level project manager with strong communication, writing, and creative skills to support Corporate iT’s Change Management and Strategic Communication department. This role will manage change and communications activities developed for end user computing projects.
The candidate should have strong project management skills, experience working with diverse stakeholder groups to perform stakeholder analyses, defining and clarifying key messages for audiences, and the ability to craft, edit, and manage content (both visual and written) in a fast paced environment.
Examples of work assignments include drafting news articles for internal Corporate associates, working with the project team to determine communications channels and change activities will be the most effective in reaching diverse stakeholder groups, and developing visual presentations for C-Suite leaders to understand technology and budget implications for new end user projects.
This role is entirely client facing and candidates should be very comfortable giving presentations in front of large groups and interacting with executives. A high level of professionalism and consulting experience is a must.
The project will require change management and communications support provide overall awareness of the move to Windows 10/Office 2016, inform budget owners of the cost considerations associated with the upgrade, and explain the process for certifying application on the new operating systems to application owners across the enterprise.
Change management and communications support includes:
• Developing and managing communications and change plans for the project (5%)
• Drafting communications and change activities to identified audiences and working with stakeholders to gain consensus on approach and obtain leadership approval (80%)
• Manages the cadence of an advisory group made up of discipline partners across Corporate that represent the interests above and at the property level for end users (5%)
• Develops and maintains relationships with Corporate partners to distribute messaging through approved and appropriate communications channels (10%)
