Change Management Senior

A large utilities company in Portland is looking for a contractor who has been a PM and transitioned into Change Management with a background in training. They should have at least 3 years recent Change Management exp.

Prefers Local Candidates. All candidates need to be able to start within 2 weeks of offer.

CST&D Continuous Improvement Change Management - Provide change management, training, and communications services as member of a team of change managers working to stand up and maintain regular cadence of training to an expanding number of departments every 6 weeks.
• Role will focus on post-transformational project training stabilization efforts including support of departments already receiving training every six weeks and stand-up of new departmental training.
• This role will be responsible for partnering with Corporate Training to analyze current training documentation, materials, and offerings as well as documenting new training needs. This role will not be primarily responsible for training content development and delivery but instead will focus on current state analysis, program planning, and implementation.
• Responsible for working with business units, management and SMEs to document training needs, prioritize into various 6-week training cycles, and scheduling/logistics of training delivery.
• Collaborate closely with partner change managers and corporate training resources working on similar training for other departments
• Closely partner and operate within strategic initiative’s change management strategy and established channels
• Develop a variety of communication materials which effectively educate, inform and prepare stakeholders for training and provide reinforcement of training topics
• Organize and facilitate cross-functional focus groups on stabilization pain points
• Develop and utilize change measurements and metrics to measure and track the effectiveness of training interventions at individual and organization levels; using approaches including as examples survey feedback, focus groups, 360-degree assessments, and custom designed measures. Interpret change measures and facilitate action planning with clients.

You can bring the following skills to our team:
• BS/BA or preferably a MS/MA/M.B.A. in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field such as Management and Industrial Relations, with emphasis on organizational behavior, human resources and consulting, or similar.
• Minimum 3 years’ increasingly complex experience as a change practitioner / organization development, including lead role on two or more major organizational change programs/initiatives such as a technology implementation, process redesign, or restructuring.
• Comprehensive knowledge of organizational change, employee transition, organization design, and culture change theories, models, and techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of training program design, adult learning theory, and state-of-the-art training techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of consulting and coaching techniques and ability to implement change and provide coaching and feedback in a constructive manner.
• Ability to build trust with executives, management and team; overcome resistance in different settings and work cultures, influence stakeholders, and lead without formal authority.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to clearly articulate key messages and complicated topics to a variety of audiences.
• Solid project management skills; able to coordinate resources, establish schedules, track deliverables, and drive for results.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team to deliver high quality work. This includes an ability to manage time, prioritize competing or changing demands, and stay organized.
Desired experience and qualifications include:
• External consultant experience with a Big 6 or boutique consulting firm on major engagements..
• Previous people management experience leading a team of professionals.
• Certification in a change management approach, PROSCI certification, etc
