Center of Learning Program Manager

Primary Function/Position Summary:
This position oversees’ and assists the courseware design and development of numerous training programs within OEM Retail Network. The core responsibilities include managing the progress and delivery of these training plans, which are developed by OEM partner suppliers. Duties include guiding these learning practitioners across a variety of functional areas such as: Curriculum development and planning, content optimization (through the use of measurement/metrics and analytics insights), authoring tools, design standards, content repositories, Learning Management System (LMS) operations, contract management and technical platform efficiencies.

The Training Program Manager must be able to connect these learning solutions and coordinate its’ delivery throughout OEM corporate enterprise (including the Retail network personnel, Center of Learning leadership and Brand stakeholders). Individual should expect shifting priorities and monitor (mentor) these practitioners to optimize learning behavior ultimately leading to brand recognition and sales. Individual must bring a solid background & understanding of working in all areas of education and training, ideally launching programs throughout a global workforce, retail network.

Major Responsibilities:
• Build trusted relationships and drive results across vendor partners and brand / retail channels
• Support regional objectives including increasing learning objectives, brand consideration, intent and sales
• Assist in planning of both short and long term strategic training objectives
• Coordinate and assist in leading team meetings, both virtual and in-person
• Able to work hours that coincide with multiple markets and time zones
• Effectively manage program progress and communications across varying channels (internal and external)
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Assist in the evaluation of vendor performance and improvements
• As needed, participate in the annual budgeting process for planning
• Translate brand retail priorities into effective learning solutions and adoption
• Offer or organize insights and present specific proposals to leadership, as necessary
• Stay current on company-wide and industry best practices/trends in learning solutions
• Cultivate and communicate these industry best practices


Skills / Experience
• Ability to combine training program strategy/vision, with tactical executions
• High level of organizational and project management skills to lead diverse teams towards common goals
• Strong conceptual and strategic experience (interpret complex concepts and systems, and express them in simple ways)
• Current or previous, enterprise-wide training program/ development (including curriculum, progressive training plans,
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong presentation skills, including written and oral communications at all levels within the company
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment and to remain graceful under pressure
• Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Educational Experience / Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, technology or closely related areas
• Experienced in launching or guiding learning/training programs
• 4-6 years of effective project or program management, including overseeing vendor delivery and execution
• Flexible with travel/remote support
• Familiarity with OEM programs and auto business/industry, preferred
