Captivate Courseware Developer / Instructional Designer

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The company training team is hiring a contract Captivate Courseware Developer & Instructional Designer to design and develop instructional material for web based delivery that supports and enables long term customer success.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will:
• Demonstrate solid skills in the use of Adobe Captivate to design and develop dynamic and engaging web based learning. A template will be designed to effectively manage hundreds of planned titles with minimal effort.
• Utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, & evaluation skills.
• Independently develop entry and advanced level courses for external customer audience.
• Expertly leverage and apply multimedia technology and authoring tools including Captivate.
• Works cross functionally with key subject matter experts to determine the needs and method of delivery.
• Be metric oriented with a lens on measuring content effectiveness.

Requirements:
• Software Training experience
• Solid Captivate skills including: variables, actions, complex templates & responsive design
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), requirements and related standards
• Working knowledge of current Web programming tools including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
• Strong Technical Communication and Writing
• Proven track record applying Instructional Design concepts and principles
• Multimedia expertise with web based animation, audio, and video
• Curriculum and course development experience
• Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts quickly and accurately
• High attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines
• Able to quickly learn company technology

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design/related subject. Work experience strongly considered.
• Minimum of five years of Captivate and instructional design and/or technical writing experience.

Software
• SaaS platform and/or relational database experience is a plus
• Well versed in Adobe Captivate
• Project management tools
• Learning management platforms
