Reports To: CRM Manager

Responsible for championing and executing your business area’s brand plans. Working alongside the marketing managers & campaign analyst, you will use best practice principles in delivering engaging campaigns that are run on time and delivered through the right channels to the right audience. Some people management may be required.

· Ensure all campaigns within the campaign planner are fulfilled on time and adhere to best practice.

· Make proactive recommendations to improve campaign performance

· Ensure robust test methodology is adopted across all campaigns

· Liaise with marketing managers and campaign analysts on short and medium term campaign plans, ensuring consistency & relevancy of message to maximise brand awareness, preference and engagement, conversion and lifetime customer value, ultimately driving profitable sales.

· Email campaign fulfilment - ensuring all campaigns adhere to industry best practice & that all plans are adequately communicated to internal stakeholders (Customer Service, other marketing functions, Trading verticals, Editorial as necessary)

· Maintain and make recommendations for automated event triggered communications

· Ensure comprehensive results tracking is in place for all activity and where possible attribute value to the campaign

· Support the CRM Manager to ensure campaigns deliver a positive ROI

· Provide commentary on campaign results and make recommendations for follow-up activity

· Maintain a complete record of all emails dispatched and their results

· Work with email providers to ensure deliverability through all ISPs and maintain healthy deliverability status.

· Monitor email KPIs for exceptions

Required Skills

· Proven track record in Campaign Management

· Excellent account management skills demonstrated by taking the brief, through to fulfilment and campaign reporting

· Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels - good oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present and communicate issues and opinions

· A positive, flexible self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment

· 2-3 years’ experience using enterprise level ESP’s (experience of the Responsys email platform advantageous)

· Demonstrable experience performing A/B split tests, driving insight and optimisation based on findings

· Strong knowledge of HTML coding and understanding of mobile responsive design

· Well versed in using Photoshop, Fireworks & Dreamweaver

· Strong understanding of web analytics and conversion tracking (Google Analytics advantageous)

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail

· Pro-active, results orientated and organised

· Confidence - in a numerate, results-based organisation

· Well-versed in Direct Marketing techniques & data literate

· Awareness of the principles of the Data Protection Act

· Strong understanding of email deliverability best practice

· Attention to detail but with the ability to make decisions on 'best available’ data

· Retail, subscription or publishing experience useful but not essential
