CRM/Digital Marketing Analyst

Aquent is seeking for a Digital Analyst to join the Marketing team for a Media/Entertainment client in Orlando, FL. Requires 2+ years prior hands-on experience with email and/or database marketing including database design, querying and reporting; experience working with SQL and SQL Server required; proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products required; experience working with advanced reporting and Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Microstrategy, R or SAS preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Leads reporting and analysis of campaign performance from email response data with additional channel response data, including analysis against control sets. Partners with CRM team and other internal partners to define and optimize strategy based on analytics. Implements simple and algorithmic segmentation inside campaign management system to support campaign execution against optimizations. Works with internal clients to develop standardized and automated reporting that feeds marketing decisions across the organization. Partners with the Information Technology team to ensure best-of-class data management, analytics and reporting.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME
• Conduct campaign performance analysis using SQL, Excel, and BI reporting tools to derive insights and optimize campaign tactics. 30%
• Create, manage and regularly distribute critical marketing-related reports utilizing relational databases and reporting technologies such as Microstrategy, Cognos, SQL, Excel, and Access. 30%
• Implement customer segmentation based upon demographic, behavioral and engagement responses through creation of SQL views, procedures or directly in campaign management tools 20%
• Identify system problems, communicate details and collaborate with IT to design solutions on a pro-active, self-directed basis. 10%
• Ensure compliance with Data Management Laws. 10%
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent analytical skills with past experience in email and/or database marketing analysis;
• Experience with Unica or other campaign management system preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced):
o Must be able to develop and understand advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Experience with SQL and Relational Databases (advanced);
o Must have thorough understanding of database structure;
o Experience creating complicated reports including sub-reports, parameter based reports, graphical reports, formula based, well-formatted reports; analysis reports, etc.
o Working knowledge of databases including writing SQL queries required.
• Ability to work independently in a deadline oriented environment;
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving problems;
• Ability to evaluate quantitative data sets and determine “big picture” implications required;
• Working knowledge of marketing, media and customer segmentation strategy required;
• Ability to handle multiple projects required;
• Desire to work in a fast paced environment required;
• Proficiency communicating research results in written, visual and verbal form required.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related (or business-related Bachelor's in analysis-related program) required.
