CPG Marketing Manager

Looking for a Strategic Marketing manager who will manage the marketing team (containing 4 people) and reporting to the CEO. This person will position products for success through evaluation of customer research, market conditions, competitor data, development and implementation of creative and innovative marketing strategies. This role is going to be highly focused on strategy and research . 

 

MUST HAVE some exposure to nutritional, dietary supplements or have worked for a food manufacturing company or something similar!

Education and Experience Required:

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in Marketing required
  • Demonstrated new product development success
  • Experience with product launches and marketing across multi-media platforms (especially web)***
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, to include experience in direct supervision of staff
  • Strong familiarity with current industry-specific competitive strategies and best practices

Responsibilities and Expectations:
Marketing Strategy:

  • Develop and articulate overall brand strategy
  • Research competitive strategies and develop strategic plans to overcome any marketplace threats
  • Ensure consistent execution around all brand strategies, positioning through all channels and all messages
  • Develop concepts that focus on current and future target markets
  • Create, develop and implement new marketing opportunities for products, including but not limited to private label and international accounts

Marketing Operations:

  • Collaborate with Sales to develop merchandising vision and related displays, sales kits and presentations
  • Drive key marketing initiatives which include advertising, promotions, social media, websites and new products
  • Create multi-media advertising plan
  • Measure and communicate ROI of brand and marketing functions

Leadership:

  • Recruits, interviews and selects qualified staff
  • Orients, trains, develops and mentors staff
  • Coaches and counsels staff appropriately to achieve improvement when necessary
  • Develops, understands and performs to departmental budgets and schedules
  • Achieves quality and continuously improves operational performance

Research, Documentation and Reports:

  • Design and manage tracking functions for all marketing initiatives, including existing and new product lines
  • Monitor all aspects of PR, product introduction, packaging, sample distribution, media and consumer acceptance
  • Provide marketing reports as requested
  • Research current market trends and potential benefits
