C++/OpenGL Developer - Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality

Position- C++/OpenGL Developer
Location- NYC or Basking Ridge, NJ
Start date-ASAP
Duration- 6-9 month contract with the intention of converting to a perm position
Work is to be done onsite. Remote is not an option.
Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future will be considered
Hourly pay rate range- DOE

Required
-Minimum 4-year degree at accredited university
- C++ programming
- OpenGL
-Experience with Shaders
-Experience with GLSL (GL Shader Language)
-Graphics programming without using a commercial engine
-Gaming preferred (not Unity)
-Simulation experience not preferred
-AAA app published to market

General Info:
This high tech lab offers the best opportunity on the East Coast to work on leading edge technology in the Virtual Reality space. Unless you're in the Silicon Valley you won't have the opportunity to gain the experience that you'll have here. The value of this opportunity is immeasurable.

  • Candidates need to be passionate about Augmented and Virtual Reality and knowledgeable about the current VR space (and about new technology in general). Candidates that are just "looking for a job" and think AR/VR "sounds interesting" will NOT be competitive.

  • Candidates need to demonstrate experience and an affinity for collaborative, dynamic teamwork. Experience working on a fast-growing, high-intensity team, working in a SCRUM/Agile environment, working at a startup and/or working with an R&D team is strongly preferred.

  • All candidates MUST at a minimum have completed a 4-year college degree at an accredited university

  • All candidates MUST pass a drug test.

  • Candidates will be given a challenging assignment to complete during interview process.


    Thing to Know
  • Team has grown from 12 people in January 2016 to about 100 and still rapidly growing!
  • Candidates that come from a start up environment would be preferred
  • Position is 6-9 months with the intention of converting to a permanent position
  • 40 hours will be the standard work week and overtime is not expected but if you'd like to work overtime, you may.
  • You must have a demonstrated passion for VR and AR.
  • Client expects that the people they hire have their own passion projects, maybe have an interest in art, or any other type of interest that could bring a new element to the group.
