Vitamin T has a contract to hire opportunity for a CMS Producer! This position is slated to start in February and will require the talent to be onsite at our client's (incredible!) office in North Seattle.

The CMS Producer has dual responsibility within the development team. His or her primary responsibility is to work cross-functionally to manage the workflow of CMS projects and requests. The CMS Producer will also work on CMS development projects including content maintenance and the development of new pages on the website, focusing on the content management system within our platform (Magento Enterprise). The CMS Producer works on projects and tasks as self-assigned along with special requests assigned by the product manager all of which drive merchandising, web and company goals. Successful candidates should have at least 2-3 years of development experience and should be comfortable with the following primary responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities
WORKFLOW COORDINATION
• Serves as the single point of contact for assigned CMS projects – maintaining a view across the entire CMS workload
• Tracks content/CMS projects in Basecamp, adding TO DOs for development tasks
• Communicates daily list (M-Th only) of projects going live on the website to web team for visibility
• Cat herding!
• Work with product manager to accurately estimate and scope development work including providing levels of effort for assigned projects.
• Works well as a team member on projects, understanding how the team operates and what is expected of the various roles on the project.
• Able to shift between various assignments while maintaining a view of the bigger picture.
• Troubleshoot project issues independently. Escalates unresolved issues to Product Development Manager.

PRODUCTION/DEVELOPMENT
• Responsible for coding the execution of web designs and interactions in CMS based on the user experience as provided by UX or web designer.
• Collaborates on the approach to a project with Magento FED partners to assure it is compatible with the platform and has speed and stability as a goal.
• Write and comment code to standards, implementing best practices.
• Build for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility: mobile, tablet, desktop.
• Work with project stakeholders and product manager to facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Follow established workflow ticketing process in designated tool.
• Contribute to team WIKI knowledge base.
• Able to take initiative to research and learn about current tools and technologies.
• Stay current with core web development technology trends, capabilities, and limitations.
• Troubleshoots content problems and issues and looks for ways to improve the performance, stability and quality of the CMS on the site.
• Participate in live site support and incident resolution including an on-call rotation during peak seasons.

Desired Experience
• 3-5 Years experience as a project manager and/or web producer, preferably in an agency, retail or other eCommerce company
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems
• Required experience with CSS(3), JQuery, Javascript, HTML, XML
• Bonus points for familiarity or experience with Basecamp, GITHUB (code repository), Adobe Scene 7, ATG, testing tools such as Optimizely or Adobe Target
• Demonstrate an intimate knowledge of CMS web development best practices — including optimization, cross-platform issues, debugging
• Knowledge of Web standards, technologies, and terminology
• Experience optimizing for Search Engines
• Ability to estimate level of effort (CMS projects) based on high level requirements
• Ideally the candidate has performed in a lead role and wishes to pursue a path in management while contributing as a producer
