One of our valued clients in the Energy industry is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator for a long term temporary role. The primary responsibilities of the Community Relations Coordinator are to support the company’s strategic outreach efforts for major transmission projects including infrastructure siting and construction activities. This position will assist with all outreach activities and initiatives including preparing and coordinating external written communications to property owners and other stakeholders, coordinating public meetings, supporting company representatives who have responsibility for external communications and response and tracking of external project inquiries. The position will also support the development and maintenance of web based project information and applications. The resource will work with project managers, corporate communications and numerous internal functions. Significant experience working with the public at all levels as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A four year degree and a minimum of 6 to 9 years’ relevant experience are required. Utility or related technical experience is a plus. Requires proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft Office applications. Best fit candidates will have community relations background, will have worked externally and extensively with the public at all levels including individuals, businesses and cities and counties. Candidates who have experience with outreach in non-profits are also good fit. Utility experience a plus. Communications and PR degrees a plus as well. Will develop communications materials as well.
