CGI Modelling Artist - Team Lead and Manager (2 Positions)

*The Team Lead will be managing a small team of CGI Artists - £30-£32k*

*The Manager will be managing all CGI Teams - £40-£45k*

Predominantly working for Automotive Clients, our Client, a Leading Creative Marketing Communications Agency is seeking a CGI Modelling Manager and Team Lead to join their team on a full time basis.

Passionate about CGI and Modelling, the chosen candidates must have experience Leading and Mentoring a team of Modelling Artists.

Playing a crucial role in ensuring that high quality models are created for use for various Marketing Material, including Brochures, Websites / Apps and Configurators, you will be taking overall responsibility to lead, inspire and develop your team by sharing your expertise knowledge and guidance to ensure deliverables are completed to the highest standard.

Other Client's include transportation, architectural and consumer products

Key Managerial Responsibilties
- Manage day-to-day resource and workload of your team
- Liaise closely with other departments across the business, including Project Managers to provide information around time-scales to ensure budgets are allocated accordingly
- Run multiple and complex projects from brief through to delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and on brand
- Review and discuss the status of current projects on a daily basis with the CGI Project Manager
- Attend weekly status meetings to discuss upcoming work requirements, share any issues as well as well provide updates on your team's progress

Key Artistic Responsibilities:
- Prepare CAD and 3D Files, including Surfacing, Texturing, Naming and Layering
- Create both High / Low Poly Models
- Understand and follow all Modelling Production Workflows and Procedures, ensuing all Data Assets produced meet required, High Quality Checks.
- Manipulate Hard Surface CAD Geometry
Import and Translate the finished surface CAD Geometry into 3DS Max, and create High/Low Poly Meshes
- UV unwrap all Tessellated Surface Geometry
- Create product checking images and PDF's
- Develop 3D skills using relevant 3D software
- Photograph and Direct appropriate Texture Maps and Reference Imagery required for Modelling

Software:
- 3DS Max
- Maya
- Rhino
- V-Ray
- Photoshop

You must have:
- Valid Driving License to travel to Client Sites when required
- Ability to work overtime when required, sometimes at short notice
