Vitamin T is currently in search of a Coordinator for our client in Metro Detroit. This is a long term role!
The role of the Coordinator has two important parts. Part one is to provide support to the Producer. That is completed by coordinating the production of 2D and 3D assets, which happens to be the second part and core responsibility of the Coordinator.
3D assets are the components that make a 3D image, for example, bottle, cap and a shrink. The Coordinator will identify all the parts required to make an image, enter them into Shotgun, and link those assets to a shot. The Coordinator will assign the creation tasks to the appropriate artists in the pipeline. Modeling, product textures, and artwork are the essential assets that are required for 3D production. The steps in the creation of those assets are the responsibility of the Coordinator to manage through to completion. Once the assets are created, the Producer is responsible for shot production and the Coordinator assists with Production as required by the account.
The Producer is responsible for the final deliverable and contact with the client. There is a lot of data associated with shots and assets that needs to be tracked for billing and delivery. The Producer and Coordinator will act together to manage that data. The Coordinator also assists the Producer with client meetings, note taking, shopping for product samples, prototype procurement and delivery
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The Coordinator creates, assigns and tracks the production of assets through the production pipeline which sets the stage for shot creation by the Producer.
