Business Systems Analyst, Agile / Scrum environment

Our client company, located near Nashville, TN, has a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst. You will be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during the contract portion of the assignment. If our client is interested in converting you to a direct employee of theirs, you will negotiate directly with them for your salary.

Here is what you will do:
Overview:
You are responsible for contributing to the application development process as a business systems analyst. You will lead the requirements discovery and documentation process for small development teams. This includes documenting business, system, functional and non-functional requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consults with Product Management, clients, and other internal stakeholders concerning requirements.

- Elicits, documents, and manages requirements under both Agile/Scrum and traditional waterfall or iterative methodologies.

- Provides client support by working directly with a client in solving problems or making decisions requiring technical expertise or specialized knowledge.

- Elicits and clearly defines client needs by assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential business solutions.

- Performs administrative duties and prepares support documentation.

- Conducts training sessions and other presentations.

Here is what you need to have:
Must have some experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and be very comfortable in such an environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Thorough knowledge of financial services industry, including retail, mortgage/loans/deposits and wholesale banking.
• Considerable knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner.
• Knowledge of conversion methodologies and the basic principles, processes, phases and roles relevant to each conversion methodology.







Other:
- 5-7 years total experience.
- 2 years Scrum/Agile environment.
- Be able to speak to: Scrum Master, Product Owner, Sprints 1-3 weeks, Product backlog, User Stories, Estimation: Story Points or Sizing, Co-locating with Development, Stand-up meetings.
- Banking and/or Government industry backgrounds are nice to have.
